I first got to work with Intel’s Stephen Fischer after he agreed to do an on-camera interview about the making of Penryn — Intel’s next generation of transistor technology measuring 45nm — in January of 2007. He was proud, humbled and shared a first-had story about how he and his team were the first to test a Penryn chip in Sacramento, California one late evening into the morning. Champaign all around!
